I told some people off in the library today. Because for almost 45 mins they were sitting on the floor like no one's business and they PRETEND that they didn't see anyone wanting to borrow books on the shelfs they were apparently blocking. When I said excuse me, they refused to budge. UGLY Singaporeans. TYPICAL singaporeans. I don't feel bad at all for telling off the FOUR of them. They deserve it for being so inconsiderate & pretentious. So please DO NOT sit on the floor to read books unless you are CLEARLY not blocking anyone. If you have been doing that, I urge you to stop it because it is VERY RUDE of you to inconvenient other users because you want to satisfy yourself. When people say excuse me, don't pretend you didn't hear because that person is often quite serious and wants you to lift your heavy bottom. I think it is time for users in the library to be more accommodative and UNDERSTAND the term 'obligation'. How appalling is the attitude of library users.
